We're looking for an Aviation Security Screening Supervisor to lead a tight-knit team of 8–9 operatives at our West Drayton unit, where every shift matters, every decision counts, and no two days are quite the same.
Your team screens in-flight supplies and controls access to restricted areas around the clock. Your job is to make sure they do it brilliantly.
What you'll actually be doing

Operate X-ray machines and other screening equipment to inspect in-flight supplies.

Search staff, visitors, contractors and their belongings according to in-flight security protocols.

Conduct vehicle searches.

Identify prohibited or suspicious items in supplies and take appropriate action.

Conduct physical searches and secondary screening when required.

Monitor security checkpoints and ensure a safe flow of people and product.

Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms.

Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.

Follow national aviation security regulations and airport policies.

Communicate clearly with staff and colleagues to maintain efficient checkpoint operations.

Report suspicious behaviour or security breaches to supervisors immediately

Lead a team of security operatives on shift.
The shifts
Rotating patterns across Earlies (0430–0630 starts), Lates (1300–1500 starts) and Nights (2200 start). Aviation doesn't sleep, and neither does this role.

What we're looking for
Previous aviation security experience is essential , ideally with some supervisory or team-leading exposure behind you. You'll need sharp attention to detail, solid communication skills (written and verbal), normal colour vision and corrected visual acuity of at least 6/9. Calm under pressure isn't a bonus here, it's the baseline.

Successful candidates will need to be able to complete a 5-year work history referencing process and DBS check. In addition, you will be required to undergo an eye test and colour blindness test prior to start as well as periodically through the tenure of your employment.
