Duties
- Oversee daily food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain efficient operations
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company standards
- Coordinate food production schedules to meet service demands while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative ideas to enhance customer experience
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, including serving customers when required
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any malfunctions or safety hazards
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or restaurant environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and management effectively
- Previous experience serving customers or guests is advantageous but not essential
