Frontal Care is seeking Care Assistants in our Huntingdon Branch to align with the personal preferences of our service users. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals within our community. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Support with mobility, including moving and handling where required
- Administer medication in line with care plans and training
- Prepare and serve meals or assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Carry out light household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping
- Encourage and promote client independence and dignity at all times
- Accurately document care delivered and report any concerns to senior staff
- Travel to service users’ homes across Corby and surrounding villages
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion & a positive attitude at all times
- A responsible, dedicated & flexible approach to your work
- A driving licence & access to a vehicle
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Good level of physical fitness (role includes moving/assisting individuals)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding protocols
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in care (domiciliary, residential, or voluntary)
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willing to work towards it)
- Knowledge of care plans, person-centred care, and CQC regulations
- Medication administration training
