Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen management promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential
- A passion for hospitality and an interest in culinary arts will be highly regarded.
