We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our small team as a multi-skilled kitchen assistant/bar person at The Sandboy, Bawsey. The successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. The Sandboy is not your usual pub, it specialises in afternoon teas and functions including wakes.
Duties to include:-
- Greet customers
- Serve drinks according to customer's requests.
- Keep the bar area clean and organised
- Assist in preparing food in the kitchen
- Keep the kitchen clean and in a hygienic standard
- Ensure that all alcohol licence laws are followed
- Handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist with serving food at wakes and deal with customers in a compassionate manner.
Your Qualities
- Bar experience desirable but not essential
- Smart and professional appearance essential

- Own transport essential
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Be knowledgeable about different types of drinks and how to make them.
Flexibility is key in this role. We are a small business which is continuing to grow so are looking for the right person to grow with us. You will be involved in all areas of the business including food preparation and serving customers.
Hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview but will include evenings and weekends on occasion. This will be a zero hours contract.
