Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Director, providing both clinical
and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the practice. The
role requires a highly organised, professional, proactive and adaptable individual capable of
working effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide clinical support to the Medical Director and other clinicians.
2. Assist with minor surgical procedures and outpatient interventions.
3. Support IUD insertion/removal and contraceptive implant procedures where appropriately trained.
4. Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Medical Director.
5. Coordinate appointments, referrals, investigations and clinical correspondence.
6. Participate in clinical audit, governance and quality improvement activities.
7. Supervise and support other staff members when required.
8. Represent the practice at meetings and professional forums when delegated.
Person Specification
1. Healthcare Assistant, Registered Nurse, Physician Associate or equivalent qualification.
2. Current professional registration where applicable.
3. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
5. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
6. Experience in minor surgery, women’s health services or LARC procedures desirable.
7.Experience in audit, governance and staff supervision desirable.
