Job description:
We are looking for skilled individual to join our expanding team as a trainee or qualified dental nurse. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dentistry, excellent interpersonal skills, and a team player. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist to ensure efficient and effective treatment delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic independently owned dental practice and make a positive impact on the health of our patients.
If you are a trainee, full training will be given and you will also be enrolled onto a College course. You will be given time to complete your course work during work time and will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Dental nursing. You will receive apprentice wage for 1 year ( £8 per hour).
The hours are Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm. We will consider part time applications also for at least 3 days a week.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment
- Process dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as composite fillings and impression materials
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain a clean and organised dental environment
Requirements:
- Good communication and English Language skills
- Computer skills
- GDC registered - if qualified
- Willing to complete DBS check
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- GGSE Grade 4 and above or Functional Skills Level 2 in both Maths and English
