About the pub
The Swan & Cygnet is a standout destination pub at the heart of Wakefield, combining the appeal of a thriving community local with the scale and reputation of a high-volume food business. Boasting a spacious 140-cover open-plan trading area and a popular seven-day carvery alongside the wider Marston's food menu, the pub has built a loyal customer base and attracts guests from across the area.
Guests can enjoy a large patio and beer garden, ample parking and a convenient location close to local shops, businesses and major road networks including the M1, making it a popular choice for both locals and passing trade.
Currently generating around £22,000 per week, with peak weeks reaching £28,000, the Swan & Cygnet delivers a strong 66% food / 34% drink sales mix. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, food-led General Manager who thrives in a volume environment and can lead a team to deliver exceptional service, a consistently strong carvery offer, and memorable guest experiences that keep customers returning time and time again.
Management accommodation is available in the form of three bedroom flat, with lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
