We're an artisan bakery looking for a baker/pastry chef who takes pride in making things that look as good as they taste. This isn't a stand-at-one-station-forever job - our positions rotate, so you'll build a genuinely broad skill set and keep the work interesting.
Hours: Full-time, permanent, 8-hour shifts, with the rota published in advance so you can plan your life around it.
What you'll be doing (across rotating stations):
- Mixing dough and running bakes from start to finish
- Dividing, shaping and assembling bread by hand
- Decorating and finishing pastries after baking
- Keeping your section clean, organised and running smoothly
Because roles rotate week to week, you'll develop across the whole bakery rather than getting stuck on one task - more variety, more fun, and faster growth as a baker.
What we're looking for:
- A strong eye for presentation and detail - you care how the finished product looks
- Good organisation and the ability to keep a section tidy and on schedule
- Reliability, a positive attitude and willingness to learn every station
- Experience in a bakery, kitchen or pastry environment is a plus, but attitude and aptitude matter most
