The Gifts in Kind (GIK) team support Barnardo's by partnering with a number of companies and brands. These partners donate their end of line, out of season or returned stock to us. We process and prepare these donations for delivery to our stores. Which are then sold in stores across the UK to raise vital funds for children, young people and their families. As a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant you will assist the team with sorting through these types of donations and preparing them for delivery to the stores.

As a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant you will assist the team with sorting through these types of donations and preparing them for delivery to the stores.
Tasks: Process donations receive at the warehouse from our partners including de-tagging clothing and goods
Prepare items to be delivered safely to our stores
General warehouse duties e.g. moving stock or rearranging stock
Housekeeping to ensure the warehouse is clean and safe
Skills: Physically able to lift and carry stock within our Health & Safety guidelines is necessary
Flexible and willing to do a variety of tasks
Organised and able to prioritise
Confident in working alone but also happy to work as a team as required
Basic computer skills
Enthusiastic about the work of Barnardo's
