Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and budgets related to Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects, ensuring financial efficiency and project viability.

Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E components of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Manage tender processes, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct occassional site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with contractual specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team and project managers, engineers, and the head of electrical to develop quotes on incoming tenders.
- Provide advice on cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specialising in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects within the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial management in large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to M&E systems.
- Demonstrable experience in tendering processes, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is preferred.
