Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice ICT Applications Assistant to join our ICT team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in digital services, supporting the delivery, maintenance and improvement of our business applications while working towards a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification. You will gain hands-on experience assisting with user support, system configuration, data quality checks and testing, as well as developing skills in modern technologies such as Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps to support the Council’s digital transformation programme.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong communication and problem‑solving skills, a good understanding of IT systems and a willingness to learn new technologies. You should have Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English, experience of using IT systems, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. An interest in Microsoft 365 tools, customer service awareness and a desire to develop technical and digital skills will help you succeed in this role and contribute to continuous service improvement.
