Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Playworkers to join our team in Westerton, St Ninians & Knightswood Primary Schools. We have various roles 3-16 hours per week. The ideal candidates will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during organised activities and free play. This role offers an opportunity to work with children of various ages, fostering their development through fun and educational experiences. The Playworkers will support children's social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring their safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during playtime, activities, and organised events to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, activities, and educational programmes that promote creativity and social interaction.
- Support children's emotional needs by providing encouragement, reassurance, and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
- Assist with daily routines such as snack times, rest periods, and transitions between activities.
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including safeguarding policies.
- Support the organisation of special events or outings as required.
Skills
- Experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different age groups.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with children and parents alike.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
