About the role
We are looking for an ACA or ACCA part-qualified senior accountant to join our Private Client department, working across a varied and interesting client base that ranges from high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families to media personalities and professional sportspeople. You will take the lead on preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations across the portfolio, working closely with our Private Client Manager and Assistant Manager, who will support your development and review your work as you progress towards qualification. This is a genuinely hands-on preparation role at the centre of the team, giving you broad technical exposure and a clear next step once qualified.
A typical day will look like:
- Preparing statutory accounts for a portfolio of limited company clients, from HNW/UHNW family structures to sports, media, and entertainment businesses
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Liaising directly with clients and their advisers to gather information and resolve queries
- Working closely with our Private Client Manager and Assistant Manager, taking on review points and technical guidance as part of your ongoing development
- Assisting with personal tax compliance work where required
- Identifying technical issues or planning points within client accounts and escalating these appropriately
- Supporting the training and development of more junior team members
- Additional accounts and tax duties as necessary
What we are looking for
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified, actively studying towards qualification
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, gained in a practice environment
- Confident working knowledge of cloud accounting software
- A highly confident and personable communicator, comfortable liaising directly with clients
- An appetite to take on increasing responsibility as you progress towards qualification
