About You
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Experience in supporting young people with additional needs or barriers
- Strong employer engagement and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to design and coordinate flexible, meaningful work experience
- A collaborative, solution‑focused approach
Qualifications and/or experience:
- Experience working with young people facing barriers to education, employer, or training.
- Understanding of Alternative Provision and the challenges faced by AP learners.
- Ability to design and coordinate inclusive, flexible work experience opportunities to meet the needs of AP learners.
- Strong employer engagement skills with the ability to communicate confidently and build trust.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels and create effective working relationships.

The West Sussex, Brighton and Hove Careers Hub is part of a national network of Careers Hubs supported by The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC). It is hosted by West Sussex County Council.
Careers Hubs lead partnerships of schools, colleges and local businesses, helping young people understand and connect with local businesses and career opportunities through tailored careers education and Modern Work Experience programmes.
Careers Hubs bring together schools, colleges, employers, and training providers in a local area to work together to help schools and colleges improve how they prepare young people for their best next steps through:
