Make a real impact every day as a Receptionist at Hafod.
You’ll be the welcoming face and voice of the home, providing a professional and friendly reception service for residents, visitors and colleagues. As the first point of contact, you’ll help create a warm and supportive environment while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home through high-quality administrative support.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, from greeting visitors and answering calls to supporting the management team with essential administration and coordination tasks.
This is a part-time role working 18 hours per week. The shift patterns are Thursday, Friday and every other Wednesday.
Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, you’ll therefore need reliable transport to and from work.

What you’ll be doing

Welcome visitors and professionals, ensuring they are safely signed in and directed appropriately within the home.

Act as the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, responding in a professional and helpful manner.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Home Manager, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Manage ordering, invoices and stock control processes, ensuring accurate financial and administrative records are maintained.
- Support health and safety processes, including monitoring entry systems, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

What you’ll bring
Bring your organisational expertise and caring nature to our front desk, ensuring every resident, family member, and visitor receives a welcoming and positive experience.
- A friendly, professional and approachable manner with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A high level of discretion, confidentiality and attention to detail.
