Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The role purpose of a sewing machinist is to construct, alter, or other textile products by operating industrial sewing machines. Sewing machinists ensure that fabric pieces are stitched together accurately according to design specifications, contributing to the production of Evac+Chair International and other Company product.
The role can involve manufacture and Assembly of a range of products from the medical, veterinary, emergency evacuation and data protection markets with the opportunity to get involved with a wider range of bespoke products.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
· To check the work being sewn at needle point.
· Producing the product to the set Quality standard.
· To produce the product to the stated production time.
Measurement and Deliverables
· Good timekeeping.
· Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
· To produce to the quality / specifications and time frame required.
· To stop any issues found at needle point.
· Report any machine issues to the line supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Key: E = Essential D = Desirable
Technical Requirements:
E: Ability to operate industrial sewing machines.
Knowledge:
E: Bar tacking, lock stitching and box and crosses
D: Binder machines

Experience:
E: Working in a factory environment
D: Prior experience in textile or garment factories
Shift Pattern
Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm
Friday 7.30am - 12.00pm
Pay: £13.46 per hour
