Job Description: Business Development Manager - Interconnect (Turkey)
Location: Remote – target region Turkey and Wider European Territory
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Apollo Aerospace is a franchised value add distributor of electrical connectors and accessories for demanding Military, Aerospace and Commercial applications. Working with industry leading manufacturers to provide customers with flexible access to an extensive and unbiased selection of approved interconnect products. The portfolio includes circular connectors, circuit board connectors and connector accessories to meet the complete range of electro-mechanical demands across its chosen markets.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director is a key appointment for Apollo Aerospace. The successful candidate will facilitate continued growth of the Company through new business wins as well as providing first class support and responses to existing customers. The BDM must be able to work independently, proactively and with enthusiasm to drive and increase sales in line with annual sales targets whilst meeting strategic objectives as set by the Commercial Director.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to achieving the financial goals of the organisation in line with set budgets and expectations
- Develop and drive a sales development strategy in line with overall company requirements and local business goals.
- Directly manage client accounts as assigned, developing a robust account management programme and building relationships with key decision makers.
- Be accountable for building a pipeline of new business opportunities capable of significantly increasing sales revenue through organic growth.
- Regularly meet customers face to face and via video to continuously deliver the Company value proposition and to win new business.
- Work with other relevant departments in the Company to provide customers with exceptional customer experience, delivering all appropriate information relating to their business in a timely manner.
- Negotiating the terms of supply within agreed Company parameters.
- Compliance with agreed sales tools/ reporting needs, eg visit reports, sales reports/ forecasts.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, key performance metrics, and progress towards goals.
- Maintaining an up to date understanding of supplier offerings and develop differentiated relationships with supplier stakeholders.
- Ensure current appreciation of market conditions, including competitor activity and trends.
- Representing the Company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations as required.
Competencies
- The BDM must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presenting to audiences) and be comfortable working at all levels in an organisation.
- Ability to engage those in the engineering and purchasing organisation ie those responsible for evaluating and implementing what you sell, providing these contacts with information about how our offerings could be applied to their environment
- Ability to differentiate your offering and how it is positioned against client specifications that include features, price, delivery performance, service level agreements, etc.
Experience, Qualifications and Education
- Engineering/technical qualification/background.
- Experience within the Mil Aero interconnect sector
- At least 5 years Sales/ Business Development experience
