Overview:
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead one of our residential homes within the Learning Disabilities & Mental Health Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that empowers residents to achieve their full potential, maintain independence, and live fulfilling lives within their local community.
As Registered Manager, you will provide inspiring leadership and strategic direction, ensuring the home delivers outstanding care that meets the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, including service delivery, safeguarding, quality assurance, staff leadership, budget management and promoting positive outcomes for residents.
Working closely with residents, families, advocates, health professionals and community partners, you will champion personalised support and enable individuals to develop socially, emotionally and developmentally at a pace that is right for them.
About you:
You will be a confident, compassionate and highly motivated leader with significant experience of managing residential care services for vulnerable adults, ideally those with learning disabilities, complex needs and multiple disabilities.
You will have a strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing residential care services, including the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, and CQC registration requirements. Most importantly, you will have a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior management role within a residential care setting.

Experience of leading, motivating and developing staff teams, including supervision, performance management and workforce development.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, quality standards and regulatory compliance.

The ability to manage budgets, resources and financial plans effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and partner organisations.

Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary environment and collaborating with health and social care professionals.

The ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and respond effectively to challenges.

A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring services are accessible, fair and responsive to individual needs.

A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to contribute to on-call and residential service requirements when needed.
You will hold a Leadership and Management in Care Services Award, Registered Managers Award, or equivalent qualification, together with GCSE Maths (or equivalent).
You will also bring substantial experience of supporting vulnerable adults and leading residential care teams to deliver excellent outcomes.
