An experienced Lettings Negotiator is required for a well-established and highly respected independent estate agency in Totnes. Offering a salary of £26,000-£30,000 per annum (depending on experience), this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a friendly, professional, and successful team within a thriving office environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone with at least one year's lettings experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering exceptional customer service. There is genuine scope for career development and progression for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Registering new landlords and applicants
- Matching applicants to suitable properties
- Arranging and conducting property viewings
- Negotiating offers between landlords and tenants
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the lettings process
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and applicants
- Generating new business opportunities where possible
- Assisting with administration relating to the lettings process
- Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Essential Skills and Attributes
- A minimum of one year's lettings experience
- Experience dealing with the public in a customer-facing role
- Friendly, professional, and confident communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Well-presented and professional in appearance
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driven, motivated, and enthusiastic with a desire to succeed
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- A genuine interest in property and people

Experience / Qualifications Required
- Previous lettings experience is essential
- ARLA qualification or membership would be advantageous but is not essential
- Good administration and IT skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm, plus one in four Saturdays, 9:00am - 1:00pm on a rota basis.
