Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Bricklayer to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units following project specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to perform basic bricklaying tasks
- Operate power tools and small machinery under supervision to prepare materials and work areas
- Support with site preparation, including mixing mortar and organising materials
- Learn and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site
- Assist with other construction duties such as carpentry, roofing, or welding as directed by supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools used in bricklaying and masonry work
- Willingness to learn bricklaying techniques and masonry principles
- Familiarity with power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous but not essential
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the working day
- Enthusiasm for developing new skills within the construction industry
