Maths Marking and Class Support Assistant (Part-Time, Remote)
Job Summary
Alan Marshall Tutoring is an established online maths tuition service supporting Scottish pupils from P7 through to Advanced Higher. We're looking for part-time support assistants to help mark assessments and assist during our online group classes.
Please note: this is a support role, not a teaching role. You will not be planning or delivering lessons. Your work will involve marking tests against clear mark schemes, assisting tutors during live Zoom classes, and helping keep things running smoothly in the background. This role suits current university students or recent graduates in maths-related subjects (maths, physics, engineering, accountancy, economics and similar), as well as PGDE students and probationer teachers looking for flexible paid work alongside their studies. There may be room for development into other roles and tasks if successful.
What we're looking for:
Strong maths ability up to at least Higher level- Familiarity with the Scottish school system and the SQA syllabus (you will ideally have sat your own National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher exams in Scotland) -Reliable, organised and comfortable working online- Available minimum 4 hours per week
Pay: £15-18 per hour. Hours are flexible within a structured schedule and work is remote.
