Duties
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies aligned with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent future occurrences.
- Coordinate safety training sessions for employees, including first aid certification and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor compliance with safety protocols, conduct audits, and ensure proper documentation of safety activities.
- Promote a safety-first culture through communication campaigns, safety meetings, and engagement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency response planning and liaise with local authorities when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in health and safety management within a dynamic operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively and develop actionable solutions.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail in documenting incidents, inspections, and compliance records.
- Certifications such as First Aid are highly desirable; additional safety-related qualifications are a plus.
- Experience delivering training sessions on safety procedures and emergency preparedness.
