✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
- To coordinate and provide support and information in the running of safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve the operational standards and defined outcomes for your area of responsibility during shift
- Have clear understanding of objectives and KPI's applicable to your role and your team
- Daily operations issue management and resolution for transport and with local warehouse
- Responsible for full and effective daily brief/debrief for DHL, agency and sub-contractor drivers
- Manage operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance/accidents etc
- To schedule, prepare and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
- Support disciplinary and grievance in accordance with company policy and procedures
- From time to time you may be requested to deputise for the Transport Manager on daily plan/do/review calls
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Previous management experience (First Line Manager/Team Leader/Supervisor) within a Warehousing environment is essential
- Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Continuous Improvement knowledge or experience would be beneficial
Able to work well in a pressured environment and prioritise work duties
- Knowledge of H&S compliance, ensuring and promoting the best H&S Standards using Safe, sound check lists, safety conversations and Gemba problem solving processes
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Shows passion, right first time attitude, can do approach and respect to others
