Job Purpose
To take ownership of the management and operational output of the Stores department to enable efficient and controlled distribution of products to customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
· Oversee the daily running of the Stores department including goods in, storage, stock control, picking, packing and dispatch of Finished Goods.
· Lead, manage and empower the team to achieve all targets and quality standards for all Stores processes, providing clarity of expectations and standards.
· Conduct all people management functions for the team, including recruitment, sickness absence, performance management and disciplinary processes, and complete regular review meetings and annual appraisals for Stores Operatives.
· Drive inventory management and organise stock control and inventory rotation to ensure precise, efficient, and timely movement of materials across the site, maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy, and accountability.
· Carry out root cause investigations into discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
· Work collaboratively with the Production Controller to plan and execute shipping workflows, achieving the shipping of correct orders in line with On Time Delivery KPI’s.
· Collate, analyse and report daily output figures for daily management, attending relevant stakeholder meetings as required.
· Manage stores in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, to reduce waste and optimise productivity.
· Coordinate and lead the bi-annual stock-take process and manage stakeholder involvement.
· Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ERP system for Stores and complete all relevant tasks including data entry and analysis.

Knowledge and Skills
· Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Office
· Good organisation and time management skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to quality control.
· Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships within teams.
· A positive outlook with the ability to work under pressure and to work flexibly to meet business requirements.
· Demonstrable experience of inventory control and management in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to develop and deploy frameworks for policies and procedures.
· Strong people management skills, and experience of interactions within the employee lifecycle.
· Experience of identifying and implementing opportunities for new processes, procedures and systems.
· Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal).
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
· Proactive problem-solving skills.
· Confident in making decisions.

Pay: £38,000.00 per year
