Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using various methods, including wood-fired ovens or standard kitchen equipment
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Assist in the development of new pizza recipes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Serve pizzas efficiently during busy periods, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working with pizza or in a similar culinary role is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
