About the role
At Balfour Beatty Asset & Technology Solutions, we are looking for a Driver Risk Administrator to join our Driver Risk Management team based in Derby.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in improving driver safety performance across our business. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will support the coordination and delivery of driver risk reduction initiatives through effective training management and stakeholder engagement.
As a Driver Risk Administrator, you will help ensure the right drivers receive the right training at the right time by coordinating training programmes, managing schedules, liaising with training providers and maintaining accurate records. Your work will directly contribute to safer driving practices, reduced incidents, and a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating the end-to-end booking and administration of driver training courses, including on-road, virtual and classroom-based learning programmes.
- Managing training schedules and calendars to align with business requirements and driver risk priorities.
- Supporting the delivery of targeted training interventions based on risk indicators such as telematics data, incidents and licence checks.
- Acting as a key point of contact for external training providers and a nationwide network of approved driver trainers.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers to ensure a high-quality and consistent service.
- Monitoring training completion, maintaining accurate records and supporting follow-up activities.
- Producing and maintaining reports on training activity, attendance, completion rates and outcomes.
- Monitoring supplier performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators.
- Providing excellent customer service to drivers, managers and internal stakeholders, resolving training-related queries efficiently.
- Supporting wider Driver Risk Management activities and providing administrative support as required.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys coordinating activities, managing multiple priorities and building strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will possess:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy when managing records, bookings and reporting.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and PowerPoint.
- The ability to analyse information and prioritise activity effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A self-motivated and professional approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
- The confidence to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience in training coordination, scheduling, bookings administration or workforce planning. Experience of working with telematics, fleet operations or driver risk data would be advantageous but is not essential.
