We're looking for a Senior Manager (Senior Advisor) - Business & Supply Chain Transformation to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the UK's most innovative manufacturers, helping them improve performance, accelerate growth, and adopt cutting-edge technologies.
Working across multiple industrial sectors including aerospace, automotive and advanced manufacturing, you'll lead strategic transformation programmes that deliver measurable business impact and operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
As a trusted advisor to clients, you'll lead large-scale transformation projects, working both onsite and remotely to:

Assess manufacturing operations and supply chain performance

Identify opportunities for business improvement and technology adoption

Develop transformation roadmaps aligned to business growth strategies

Lead stakeholder workshops and collaborative improvement programmes

Deliver supply chain optimisation and capability enhancement initiatives
-
Drive business process re-engineering and operational excellence improvements
-
Coach and mentor client teams and internal colleagues
-
Manage project delivery, budgets, timescales, and customer expectations

Contribute to innovation, new product development, and capability-building activities across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
You will bring significant industry experience and a proven track record of delivering complex business, operational, or supply chain transformation programmes.
Essential Experience & Skills
-
Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
-
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or transformation leadership roles

Experience leading large-scale manufacturing or supply chain transformation projects
-
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels from shop floor to executive board

Commercial and financial awareness
-
Experience managing change, leading teams, and coaching others
-
Strong problem-solving skills and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, or PPS
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
-
Ability to work independently while leading multidisciplinary project teams.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry – often referred to as ‘the valley of death’.
It represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16 month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.
In December 2011, there were 16 industrial members, 44 staff and just a few key pieces of equipment in the ‘workshop’.
Over the following seven years the MTC’s rapid growth has seen the expansion of our campus with the construction of three more facilities, including the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing.
Our role has also increased to cover not only R&D but also Training, Advanced Manufacturing Management and Factory Design.
We now have over 700 talented employees working with us.
During this time we have helped hundreds of companies across a range of industries and over 100 of them have become members of the MTC.
