As a Bookkeeper, you'll play an important role in ensuring our clients have accurate financial information and excellent day-to-day support. You'll work closely with our team to keep bookkeeping records up to date, maintain high standards, and help our clients stay on top of their finances.
This is a hands-on bookkeeping role with plenty of opportunity to develop as the practice grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Regular bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero / Quickbooks
- Supporting the preparation of management information
- Liaising professionally with clients regarding bookkeeping queries
- Using cloud accounting software and apps to improve efficiency
- Identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly
- Assisting the wider team in delivering excellent client service
What We're Looking For
This role is suited to someone who enjoys bookkeeping, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a supportive and growing practice.
Essential
- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
- Previous experience in an accountancy or bookkeeping practice preferred
- Good working knowledge of Xero
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organised with good time management skills
- Professional and friendly communication skills
- Able to work independently whilst remaining part of a team
Desirable
- AAT part-qualified, studying, or qualified by experience
- Experience working with multiple clients
- Experience using cloud accounting software and apps
- Experience assisting with management reporting
Location
This role is primarily remote with regular attendance at our office in Buxton.
Applicants must be able to travel to our Buxton office when required for team meetings, training, collaboration, and client support activities.
