Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood components with accuracy and care
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on processing machinery
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely to move raw materials and finished products throughout the warehouse or processing area
- Fabricate custom wood parts or assemblies based on specifications, ensuring quality standards are met
- Conduct quality checks on processed wood pieces, verifying dimensions and finishes before packaging or shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, loading/unloading materials, and preparing orders for dispatch
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot processing equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and fabrication tasks
- Experience with sewing or fabricating custom components is a plus but not required
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating efficiency in material handling and organization
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during processing shifts
- Skilled in assembly processes, ensuring precise fitting of wood parts according to specifications
- Excellent attention to detail combined with active problem-solving skills
