We are one of the biggest salt re-sellers in the UK, we supply salt for multiple uses including water softener, food grade, cosmetic grade, animal feed, deicing salt and winter equipment. We pride ourselves on being the go-to company for salt, providing high quality products and outstanding customer service.
We are currently seeking 1-2 outgoing individuals who have a passion for providing excellent customer service, can confidently use all Microsoft Office packages and are eager to learn new systems & processes.
How it works/our vision
Our current customer service team are office based, working Monday to Friday 9-5. We would like you to work flexible hours from home that work around your schedule, to assist our full-time office-based staff. We need you to work a minimum of 21 hours a week, the format is flexible (within reason) and can be discussed at interview.
What you'll do
Your day will be varied and will include a combination of the following tasks:
- Answer customer enquiries by phone & e-mail.
- Process telephone orders on Microsoft Dynamics Navision & take card payments.
- Assist at all stages of an order to solve customers’ problems including providing delivery updates.
- Arrange credits/returns where necessary.
- Record issues on our CRM system.
- Ensure that the customer's experience is positive.

You will be working with a team of people who all have one main goal, exceptional customer service. The full team help and support one another other to ensure that the customer receives the best from us.
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar customer service role.
- You have a high-speed internet connection and a quiet comfortable place to work in Central Scotland.
- You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- You have strong computer navigation skills and PC knowledge.
- You are skilled in multi-tasking; including the ability to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly.
- You can use your own initiative to proactively resolve issues.
- You’re resilient and you cope well with difficult situations.
- A knowledge of transport/types of vehicles would be advantageous but training will be provided.
- You will be available to attend 10 days of in-house training in our Ayr office in September, exact dates to be confirmed.
