Woodies Freehouse is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team in New Malden.
About the Role:
The Kitchen Porter is responsible for assisting the kitchen with preparing food and beverages, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, and maintaining the appearance of the kitchen & back of house area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared according to standard recipes.
- Assist in cleaning up messes in kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
- Follow proper use of equipment, including washing and sanitizing of pots, pans, knives, and other cooking utensils.
- Organize work station, including washing and cleaning of pots, pans, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, tables, etc.
- Perform daily cleaning according to standard recipes.
- Follow proper use of air conditioning/heating units.
- Follow proper use of ovens/grills.
- Cleaning restrooms according to standard procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Positive attitude.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs as needed, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, twist or crawl as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour
