The Role
We are looking for an Event Manager to take ownership of event delivery from planning through to execution.
This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for ensuring events run smoothly, on time, and to the standard expected by our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage events from initial planning through to delivery
- Liaise directly with clients to confirm timings, menus, and requirements
- Build and manage event specifications and logistics plans
- Coordinate staff, transport, and equipment for each event
- Lead on-site operations and ensure smooth service
- Manage event teams (chefs, waiting staff, drivers)
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and service standards are met
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and professionally on the day
- Support operational planning for upcoming events
- Maintain clear communication with the Managing Director
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in events, catering, or hospitality operations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to lead a team under pressure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable with hands-on work (loading, setup, service)
Desirable:
- Experience in weddings or corporate events
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Experience using scheduling or planning systems

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
- Preparing for upcoming events (menus, logistics, staffing)
- Running events on-site
- Managing staff and ensuring service standards
- Coordinating deliveries and transport
- Supporting business growth through strong event delivery
Important
This is not a desk-based role. You will be expected to:
- Work evenings and weekends
- Drive Vans
- Be physically involved in event setup and delivery
- Take responsibility for outcomes
