Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Assistant. The role involves providing high-quality home care services to clients in a care home environment, supporting their daily needs with professionalism and empathy. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with personal care, medication administration, implementing care plans, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as medication administration, bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Supporting clients with daily activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Implementing individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Maintaining clear communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of clients at all times
- Documenting care provided accurately and reporting any changes in client condition promptly
- Driving to various locations as required to provide home care services
Skills
- Valid driving licence and experience driving in different conditions
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care services
- Knowledge of developing and following care plans effectively
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and communicate clearly
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
