What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Travel Planning Co-Ordinator to join our growing Matchday Operations team at Elland Road.
As the Club continues its exciting stadium redevelopment and expansion plans, this role will play a vital part in shaping the future travel experience for supporters, staff, visitors, and stakeholders. You will lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Club's Travel Plan, helping drive sustainable transport initiatives and ensuring efficient travel operations across all stadium events.
Working closely with internal departments and external partners including Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, transport operators, and local stakeholders, you will combine strategic planning, operational delivery, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis to help create a best-in-class visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Development
Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Club's Travel Plan.
Identify and deliver initiatives that promote sustainable travel and support modal shift objectives.
Develop new transport solutions that improve access and visitor experience across all events.
Support stadium redevelopment plans through effective travel and transport strategies.
Monitor Travel Plan objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Data Analysis, Monitoring & Reporting
Design and commission travel surveys and consultation activities.
Analyse travel and transport data to identify trends and opportunities.
Produce reports, recommendations, and action plans to support decision-making.
Review Travel Plan performance and implement improvements where required.
Monitor sustainable travel targets and stakeholder commitments.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for transport-related matters.
Develop strong relationships with local authorities, public transport providers, and community stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with Leeds City Council, WYCA, National Highways, transport operators, and local partners.
Represent the Club at travel, infrastructure, and stakeholder meetings.
Project Management
Lead travel-related projects and improvement initiatives.
Support parking strategy development and transport infrastructure projects.
Manage project timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned to strategic objectives.
Event & Matchday Operations
Support transport operations across home matchdays and stadium events.
Provide operational support and troubleshooting for travel-related issues.
Assist with the delivery of safe and efficient visitor movement to and from the stadium.
Respond to travel and transport enquiries from supporters and stakeholders.
Communication & Promotion
Promote sustainable travel options including public transport, cycling, walking, and shared travel.
Create engaging communication materials and awareness campaigns.
Develop website content, newsletters, bulletins, and supporter communications.
Work with internal teams to ensure travel information is accurate and accessible.
Encourage positive behaviour change and sustainable travel adoption.
Continuous Improvement
Stay informed on industry developments, transport policy, and emerging best practice.
Identify innovative solutions to improve the matchday and event-day experience.
Support organisational sustainability objectives through proactive travel planning.

Experience
Proven experience in travel planning, transport planning, logistics, operational planning, or project management.
Experience managing stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations.
Experience designing surveys, analysing data, and producing actionable reports.
Experience delivering projects from planning through to implementation.
Experience working collaboratively with external partners and stakeholders.
Experience operating in fast-paced and customer-facing environments.
Desirable
Experience working with local authorities, transport operators, or infrastructure partners.
Knowledge of sustainable transport strategies and Travel Plan frameworks.
Understanding of transport planning policy and demand management initiatives.
GIS mapping and spatial analysis experience.
Adobe InDesign or similar design software skills.
Experience monitoring travel patterns and visitor behaviour.
Knowledge of stadium, event, venue, or matchday operations environments.
