Reporting to: Group Head of Enterprise Technology & Information Security
We are hiring a Technology Commercial Manager to support the financial, commercial and operational management of the technology function.
You will act as the link between Technology, Finance, Procurement and the wider business. Your focus is on improving visibility of spend, strengthening governance, and providing clear insight to support better decision-making.
This is a high-impact internal role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.

Manage technology budget, forecasting and monthly reporting
- Build clear views of technology spend across services, programmes and suppliers
- Analyse cost trends, risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insight
- Support prioritisation and investment decisions with clear financial data
- Support business planning and investment cases across Technology
- Define and track metrics across cost, service value and performance
- Produce dashboards and MI for leadership and governance forums
- Translate technology spend into clear business outcomes
- Apply TBM principles to improve cost transparency and consistency
- Structure cost models across services, suppliers and business consumers
- Support adoption of a common language for technology cost and value
- Improve reporting standards and data quality
- Oversee key supplier relationships, contracts and renewals
- Track spend, validate invoices and manage purchase order activity
- Partner with Procurement and Finance to manage cost and supplier performance
- Improve governance across software and strategic suppliers
- Build strong relationships across Technology, Finance, Procurement and Risk
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
- Support discussions on cost, performance and investment decisions
- Promote transparency and accountability across the technology function

Experience in a commercial, finance, or technology operations role
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Ability to analyse data and present clear, decision-ready insight
- Experience working with technology, suppliers, or IT services environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple teams
- Advanced Excel and experience with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
Preferred:
- Exposure to Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks
- Experience working with procurement or vendor governance
- Understanding of IT service models or ITIL environments
