Bingley Park are looking for a Laundry Assistant to join their team
Hours:
- 8am – 5pm
- 3 on, 3 off shift pattern

The role:
- Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable and process it through the washer, dryer and iron,
- Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area,
- Perform minor repairs to clients clothing,
- Ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy,
- Ensure statutory Health & Safety standard in the laundry area, and work within infection control guidelines, COSHH,
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the care home’s Health and Safety policy and Emergency and Fire Procedures,
- Report to the Registered Manager or the maintenance person, any faulty equipment/appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.
About you:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or laundry role within a residential or nursing home - preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting older adults
- A professional, positive and proactive approach to the role
