Your mission:
We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our kitchen team. You’ll play a key role in preparing and producing high-quality desserts, amenities, Afternoon Teas and sweet treats across our restaurants, In-Room Dining, event spaces and afternoon services.
This role is all about great preparation, organisation and consistency. You’ll take ownership of the pastry section, making sure everything is prepared, labelled, stored and ready for service. You’ll be confident working independently, managing your own time and prioritising your workload, while still being part of the wider kitchen team.
You’ll take pride in your work, have a great eye for detail and enjoy creating food that looks as good as it tastes.
The Details:
Your day-to-day will include:
Pastry Preparation
- Prepare and produce desserts, afternoon teas and sweet items for our restaurants, events and afternoon services.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure all pastry items are prepared and ready for service.
- Take ownership of your section, planning and prioritising preparation to ensure everything is completed on time.
- Follow recipes and specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
- Ensure all prepared items are correctly labelled, stored and rotated.
Organisation Section Management
- Keep the pastry section clean, organised and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Manage your time effectively and work confidently without constant supervision.
- Plan ahead for upcoming restaurant services, afternoon teas and events, ensuring all preparation is completed in good time.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or requirements to the wider kitchen team.
- Help minimise food waste through careful preparation, storage and stock management.
Events Service
- Prepare dessert items for weddings, meetings, celebrations and other hotel events.
- Ensure desserts are presented consistently and to the required standard.
- Work closely with the wider kitchen team to understand daily service and event requirements.
Team Development
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team while being confident taking ownership of your own workload.
- Support junior members of the team and share your knowledge where appropriate.
- Be curious, keen to learn and open to developing your pastry skills.
- Bring a positive attitude, attention to detail and genuine passion for hospitality to every shift.

Must-haves:
- 2+ years experience working as a Chef de Partie, ideally within a pastry or dessert-focused role.
- Strong pastry and dessert preparation skills, with a genuine passion for producing high-quality food.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your section.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around consistency, presentation and quality.
- Experience preparing food for restaurant service, afternoon services and/or events.
- A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- A positive, reliable and hands-on approach, with a willingness to support the wider kitchen team.
- Experience working within a lifestyle, luxury or high-end hotel environment would be a benefit.
- A genuine interest in developing your skills and bringing new ideas to our pastry offering.
