Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit General Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of outdoor and construction-related tasks, supporting the maintenance and development of landscape, horticultural, and construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in labouring, horticulture, and machinery operation within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and general garden care
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment including excavators and irrigation systems
- Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, moving materials, and assisting with basic building tasks
- Conducting routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safe operation
- Assisting with the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems and horticultural features
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Supporting team members with various labouring duties as required on-site
Skills
- Experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment such as excavators
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and general site maintenance practices
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with attention to safety procedures
- Prior construction experience or related skills are advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment use
