We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and play an important role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a busy kitchen. No previous experience is required, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
- Keeping all kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, and hygienic
- Cleaning floors, work surfaces, and food preparation areas
- Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients
- Managing waste, recycling, and maintaining clean refuse areas
- Helping with deliveries, storage, and stock rotation
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
Skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Good timekeeping and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food hygiene is beneficial, although full training will be provided
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
