Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team on a part-time basis during evening shifts. The successful candidate will support our kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and organising ingredients.
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of workstations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are kept hygienic and sanitised in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Clear and clean dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware promptly after use.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues to management.
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring the kitchen remains organised and efficient.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
