The Dore Bar & Grill is a well-loved neighbourhood restaurant in Sheffield, proudly part of The Northern Collective — an independent hospitality, retail & leisure group operating across the Peak District and South Sheffield. The Role
We’re looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of your section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard while supporting the wider team during busy services.
Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you’ll play an important part in maintaining kitchen standards, keeping service running smoothly, and contributing to a positive and professional working environment. This is a great opportunity for a motivated chef who takes pride in their work and is keen to develop within a supportive and growing group.
Key Responsabilities
- Run and manage your designated section during service
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Maintain recipe accuracy, portion control, and quality checks
- Ensure your section is well-organised, clean, and fully prepped for service
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising waste
- Support junior team members and help maintain a positive kitchen culture
- Work efficiently during busy services while maintaining attention to detail
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
- Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal changes
About You
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Passionate about food, quality, and consistency
- Well-organised with good time management skills
- A positive team player with clear communication
- Calm under pressure and eager to learn
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and professional section
