Activity Coordinator (30 Hours per Week) 3 Month Temporary Role,
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative Activity Coordinator to join our dedicated team within our residential care home.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for older adults through meaningful engagement, social interaction, and person-centred activities.
Role Overview
As Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a varied programme of activities and events for our 24 residents. The role will include both group-based activities and individual one-to-one sessions, tailored to meet residents' interests, abilities, and wellbeing needs.
You will also take the lead in organising celebrations, themed events, and special occasions throughout the year, helping to create a vibrant and enjoyable environment within the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a diverse range of engaging activities for residents.
- Facilitate both group activities and individual one-to-one sessions.
- Organise seasonal celebrations, themed events, and special occasions.
- Encourage resident participation and promote social inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure activities are meaningful and enjoyable.
Working Hours
- 30 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm
- Flexibility regarding hours will be discussed at interview.
- Occasional weekend working may be required to support special events and celebrations.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator role, or a similar position within a care setting, is essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, caring, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
