The role
The post holder will provide clerical and administrative support to the Cleft Collective research study within Bristol Dental School for seven hours a week. They will be required to support the administrative processes such as collating study materials, scanning and verifying data and supporting the Cleft Collective team in other administrative duties.
What will you be doing?
Prepare and distribute materials (such as questionnaires, consent forms, newsletters and reminders) any other study-related correspondence via the appropriate method.
Enter data from questionnaires, records and other sources onto Excel and other required databases. Verify incoming participant data.
Help with the preparation of research reports for the funders of The Cleft Collective
Use relevant method of communication to contact practices to request information relating to the study maintaining a constant awareness and observance of confidentiality issues, consent and GDPR requirements.
Respond to participant enquiries received via telephone, email or post under the supervision of more senior colleagues.
Maintain efficient office systems and perform a range of general office duties that include answering the telephone, photocopying, filing and updating the contact database with new details efficiently and effectively.
Maintain and regulate stationery stocks and other consumables.
Organise meetings e.g. book rooms, arrange catering and take minutes.
Update research web pages under supervision and update project social media pages.
You should apply if
You have:
Experience of working in an administrative role
Experience of working in higher education
Experience of Microsoft Office software, Word/Excel/Outlook
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines
Understanding of Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act and ability to work with confidential data
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team
Evidence of initiative and organisations skill

Contract type: Fixed term until 20/09/2027
Work pattern: Part time - 7 hours per week
Shift pattern: Across one or two days per week
Grade: D
Salary: £24,685 - £26,093 per annum pro rata
