Overview:
We are seeking a Barista to join our team
- Part time / Casual hours
- Circa 16h per week, likely 2 days during the week and 1 weekend day however may change
- Extra hours available covering holidays etc.
- Immediate start available.
You will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages.
Shifts & Hours typically vary however we are open 09:00 - 16:00 Wednesday to Sunday & usually only open Monday & Tuesday if there are bank holidays.
All of our staff benefit from Tips which we pay weekly. Typically working out around £1 to 1.50 extra per hour.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including assembling snacks or light meals
- Manage cash & till operations with accuracy using basic maths skills
- Restock supplies and organise stock to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to minimise wait times and optimise customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic food preparation skills
- Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock management
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
