Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: Up to £65,000.00 DoE
Location: Oxfordshire
Shift: 45hrs per week (Mon-Fri)
Quantity Surveyor - About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team within the residential groundworks and civil engineering sector. This role is key to ensuring projects are delivered within budget through accurate cost analysis, timely valuations, and close collaboration with production teams.
You will play an important role in financial management across multiple projects, including regular site visits to assess progress, capture scope, and support forecasting.
Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation for materials and labour
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Liaise with site teams and attend project meetings to ensure accurate reporting
- Measure completed works and prepare interim valuations
- Assist with final accounts preparation
- Evaluate and appoint subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract terms
- Manage subcontractor payments
- Produce financial reports and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain accurate project documentation
Quantity Surveyor - About You
- Previous experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role within construction or groundworks
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
