Location: Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, Term Time Only
Pay Rate: £130 - £200 per day (dependant on experience and qualifications)

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dependable Primary Teachers to join our supply team, supporting primary schools across Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding areas. Job Description:
As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of primary school settings. You will need to be confident stepping into different classrooms, following existing plans and creating a positive learning environment for pupils.
The role will involve:
- Delivering well-structured and engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
- Following school lesson plans while adapting activities where appropriate.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all pupils can learn.
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and school communities.
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records and providing feedback where required.
- Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and professional standards.
- Quickly adapting to different schools, classrooms and routines.
Must Have:
- Primary QTS.
- Professional experience working with and supporting children in a school setting.
- Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills.
- A confident, flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Child Workforce on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Ability to reliably commute to Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their potential.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as a supply teacher.
- Experience teaching across different primary year groups.
- Good knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Phonics experience.
- Experience within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- The ability to confidently settle into new schools and establish positive relationships quickly.
