About the job
To work with the Contracts and other Fleet Teams to raise Purchase orders, administer Invoices, upkeep of contracts database, approved supplier database and general office administration tasks including minute taking.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To raise Purchase orders on Neptune
- Receipting of Purchase orders, ensuring work has been completed/material delivered by liasing with relevant teams
- Arranging approval of Invoices
- Dealing with approved suppliers database, ensuring correct processes are followed and suppliers are monitored against relevant acceptance criteria and kept up to date
- Maintaining contracts database
- Cover Major Projects Team Co-Ordinator & Engineering Team Co-Ordinator as necessary
- General office duties
- Arranging of staff travel and accommodation as required
- Take minutes at meetings as required
- Arrange training for staff to renew safety qualifications for working on depot
- Support the team with administrative or IT queries
You'll need to be:
- Must be IT literate
- Strong Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS based applications, as well as a SAP based application desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to plan and organise
- Must be enthusiastic and a team player
- Must be able to work on own initiative and be proactive
About the location
Wimbledon Traincare Depot is a short walk from Wimbledon Park station and recently launched our new Class 701 fleet, marking a significant milestone in the £1bn transformation of suburban travel. Drivers, maintenance and other depot colleagues are currently in training to develop the new skills needed for this generation of train that will be fitted with all new modern technology. Wimbledon depot will eventually become the new maintenance home for the entire Class 701 fleet.
Working pattern
You will work an average of 37 hours per week over 5 days.
Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 15:30
Friday 08:00 - 15:00
