The Role
We're looking for a Field Engineer to join our Secure Power & Renewables division. This role suits an ambitious electrical engineer who wants to move beyond repetitive installs and build experience on larger, technically diverse power and energy systems with clear progression into specialist power and energy roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain secure power and renewable energy systems
- Work independently and as part of wider site teams on live projects
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other trades on site
- Support fault-finding, testing and commissioning activities
- Participate in an on-call rota (approx. 1-in-4 weeks, additional pay for on-call periods)
- Travel throughout Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK or Europe
Essential Criteria
- 5 years' experience in the electrical industry (preferred; strong candidates with less experience are still encouraged to apply)
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability
- Good computer literacy and ability to complete site documentation
- Clear communication skills and professional site presence
- Full, clean driving licence
Desirable Criteria (Not Essential)
- Experience with UPS systems, Solar PV, EV charging or battery storage
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing
- DC power knowledge
