EcoDuct is a UK manufacturer of pre-insulated ductwork, offering a modern alternative to traditional metal ductwork and separate insulation.
Our system is designed to reduce installation time, improve thermal performance, lower embodied carbon, and provide a cleaner, more efficient ductwork solution for contractors, consultants, developers, and end clients.
EcoDuct already has a strong and growing project pipeline across the UK. We are now looking to appoint a Commercial UK Sales Director to help strengthen that pipeline further and, most importantly, improve the conversion of quotations and opportunities into secured orders.
The Role
This is a senior commercial sales role focused on converting live enquiries, quotations, specifications, and project opportunities into orders.
The successful candidate will have strong experience within the UK HVAC, ductwork, mechanical services, or building services sector, with the ability to build relationships at senior level and influence projects from early design stage through to commercial close.
A key part of the role will be following up submitted quotations, challenging value-engineering decisions, supporting consultants and contractors with technical and commercial information, and ensuring EcoDuct is positioned correctly against traditional metal ductwork and insulation.
This role will be heavily relationship-led, with a particular focus on London and the South East, while supporting wider UK growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert live quotations and project opportunities into secured orders.
- Strengthen EcoDuct’s existing sales pipeline and improve quote-to-order conversion.
- Follow up submitted quotations in a structured, professional, and commercially focused way.
- Build and maintain relationships with M&E consultants, mechanical contractors, ductwork contractors, main contractors, developers, and end clients.
- Influence projects at early design and specification stage.
- Challenge traditional ductwork specifications and value-engineering decisions where EcoDuct can provide a better overall solution.
- Promote the commercial, programme, thermal, and carbon benefits of EcoDuct.
- Work closely with the estimating and technical teams to support quotes, proposals, CPDs, and client presentations.
- Identify the key decision-makers on each opportunity and manage the sales process through to order stage.
- Attend meetings, presentations, CPDs, industry events, and project reviews.
- Develop relationships with approved installers and strategic supply chain partners.
- Provide market feedback to support pricing, product development, and wider commercial strategy.
- Represent EcoDuct professionally at senior level within the UK construction and HVAC industry.
Essential Experience
- Proven sales or commercial experience within HVAC, ductwork, mechanical services, building services, or construction products.
- Strong knowledge of the UK ductwork or mechanical services market.
- Experience converting project enquiries, quotations, or specifications into orders.
- Existing relationships with M&E consultants, mechanical contractors, ductwork contractors, or senior decision-makers within the HVAC sector.
- Ability to influence consultants, contractors, and clients at both technical and commercial level.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage a live project pipeline.
- Commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and confidence closing opportunities.
- Based in or around London / South East, with ability to travel nationally when required.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with ductwork contractors, mechanical contractors, HVAC manufacturers, or specialist building services suppliers.
- Established consultant relationships within the London market.
- Understanding of pre-insulated ductwork, thermal performance, embodied carbon, and modern methods of construction.
- Experience introducing or growing innovative construction products in the market.
- Experience with CPDs, specification selling, and project-led sales.

The right candidate will be confident following up opportunities, asking the right questions, identifying the decision-makers, and understanding what is needed to move a project from quotation to order.
They will be credible in front of consultants and contractors, comfortable discussing technical and commercial benefits, and able to position EcoDuct as a serious alternative to traditional ductwork and insulation.

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
